Santa Fe Grass
Santa Fe Grass is a band built on serious bluegrass history. With decades of experience between them, the group delivers hard-driving traditional sound, tight harmonies, and seasoned musicianship. Guitarist David Thom has been playing bluegrass since 1994 and has worked with artists including Peter Rowan, David Grisman, Laurie Lewis, and Don Rigsby. Mandolinist Bob Bruen, a 24-year veteran of the New Mexico music scene, has performed with Bill Hearne and the late Rex Warren, and earlier honed his craft alongside Vassar Clements. Banjoist Marc Bolen, originally from Southwest Virginia and now based in Santa Fe, brings deep traditional roots, having played with Jimmy Martin in the 1970s and Charlie Moore in the 1980s. Bassist Zeke Severson, an accomplished veteran of the New Mexico music scene, has also performed with Bill Hearne and is a member of the band South by Southwest, a regional favorite for many years.
